Day 01: Arrive Jageshwar

Arrive in Jageshwar, one of the most sacred regions associated with Lord Shiva and home to an ancient Jyotirlinga shrine. Set in a picturesque narrow valley and surrounded by towering, centuries-old deodar forests, Jageshwar is a place where history, nature, and spirituality come together effortlessly. The area is dotted with exquisite stone temples, remnants of a rich past, complemented by sweeping Himalayan views and the gentle flow of forest streams that add to its tranquil charm.
Upon arrival check-in at the lodge.
The evening is at leisure, with time to explore the nearby ancient caves or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings. You may choose to relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere, making the most of this spiritual and scenic retreat.

Day 02: Jageshwar

After a hearty breakfast, set out to explore the Dandeshwar and Jageshwar Temples, a remarkable cluster of over 100 intricately carved stone temples dating from the 8th to the 12th century, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Return to the lodge for lunch, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Later, visit the Jageshwar Archaeological Museum, which houses a fascinating collection of ancient sculptures, inscriptions, and artifacts from the region. The exhibits provide insight into the rich cultural and religious heritage of the Kumaon Himalayas, highlighting the artistry, traditions, and history that have shaped this sacred valley.
The afternoon is free to relax and soak in the serene beauty of the pine-forested hamlet. You may also take a stroll through the local Kumaoni villages, offering a glimpse of traditional lifestyles, architecture, and culture.
As evening approaches, return to the Jageshwar Temple complex to witness the enchanting evening aarti. The rhythmic chants, the glow of oil lamps dancing on the ancient stone walls, and the resonating temple bells create an atmosphere that is both mystical and deeply moving.

Day 03: Vridha Jageshwar Excursion and Departure

Post breakfast, proceed on a 3 km trek to Vridh Jageshwar, an ancient temple site perched on a hilltop, offering stunning panoramic views of the Kumaon Himalayas. This is also the source of the Jata Ganga River, which flows serenely through the valley below. As you ascend, take in the sights of vibrant rhododendron forests, fluttering prayer flags, and the crisp mountain air. Upon reaching the temple, find yourself surrounded by a landscape of sheer tranquility, with majestic Himalayan peaks rising in the distance.
Return to the lodge to freshen up. After check-out, proceed with your onward journey home. Tour concludes.
